Stunning Men – Hi Ben, a very warm welcome to Stunning Men and a big thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.
Benjamin Godfre – Thanks for having me!
ST – Could we start off by talking about your background and childhood?
BG – I was raised in a military family and I was always the “new kid”. This forced me to become very social at a young age. I had a pretty normal childhood. We never went on vacations and my parents never spoiled me but I spoil myself enough now to make up for it. (Benjamin laughs)
SM – You are a very passionate person and some issues facing our world today are very close to your heart. Do you want to tell us a bit about this?
BG – True. I’m VERY passionate about Gay Rights and Helping Under Privileged children. I’m organizing a campaign right now which is a positive spin of “NO H8”. It’s called Yes Love and it will be great to get future celebrity endorsements. I believe in love and positivity. (Benjamin flashes his gorgeous sexy smile)
SM – There seems to be millions of photographs of you on the net and you have been modelling from an early age; was modelling something you always wanted to do?
BG – I started modelling when I was 10 years old. I did my first nude shoot when I was 18 with Robert John Guttke. Modelling brings me a lot of joy because I’m an artist at heart. But I also have a lot of goals for my mixed-media production business, Benjamin Godfre LLC. I will be making lots of sexy videos very soon.
SM – We are definitely looking forward to those! What do you enjoy the most in modelling?
BG – In modelling I enjoy the reactions I get from fans when I have produced an image that touches their soul. My dream has always been to inspire.
SM – How do you prepare before a photoshoot?
BG – I prepare for shoots by going to the gym, tanning if necessary, and grooming.
SM – What kind of exercises do you do to keep in top shape? Do you practise any sports?
BG – I go to the gym 4 times per week but my favourite form of exercise is to skateboard. I skate everyday to keep my legs and butt in shape.
SM – And it is very much in shape! Do you think male models have the same exposure as female models? Or is it still a female dominated industry?
BG – From my experience I’ve noticed that Men dominate the world of “fitness, editorial, fine art” modelling where as females dominate the fashion world and work for visionaries such as Alexander McQueen.
SM – You have done some nude shoots. How do you find being naked in front of the camera?
BG – I love being naked. Being naked in front of a camera is just a bonus.
SM – Do you have any tips to get things more comfortable during a nude shoot?
RM – Yes. Practice makes perfect. Start getting in shape and you will be very proud of your naked body.
SM – Do you have any role models in the fashion world? People who inspired you to pursue a modelling career?
BG – Hell yeah! Rafael Lazzini and Leo Corredor inspire me a lot. Check them out.
SM – Rafael is indeed stunning models and has been featured at Stunning Men. We can also see some fantastic shots of you by Leo Corredor in this post. We know models have to watch what they eat; but do you have any guilty pleasures?
BG – Yes. My guilty pleasure is marijuana. (Benjamin giggles)
SM – Do you have any projects or photoshoots coming up?
BG – Yes, I have SO much I’m doing. I just shot with Rick Day in NYC. I’ll be going back to NYC in mid December to work with Paul Reitz. I also am shooting with Carl Proctor again on December 11th. I have a charity press event in San Jose on December 7th. Also, I’m releasing a second “special” DVD soon which is available in my boutique. Finally, the Inner Sanctum is almost ready. SM – If you weren’t modelling, what would you be doing?
BG – If I wasn’t modelling I’d be involved in photography/video/marketing.
SM – We’ve seen many videos of you skateboarding. They are fab by the way. You’ve likened skateboarding to modelling; can you elaborate on this?
BG – Skating is such a sexy form of physical expression. I simply love skating and I want the world to see how sexy it can be.
SM – You now have a brand new website and it looks and is amazing. Unlike many models’ website you share much more than just some basic bio info and photos. Would you like to tell us more about what you are trying to achieve with it?
BG – My website is the BEST place to go to get accurate and current information about my life. It’s also where you go to treat yourself to my merchandise J I plan on inspiring as many people as I can while allowing a select few into my private area, the Inner Sanctum.
SM – And what about the Benjaminions? Who are they?
BG – The Benjaminions are why I even wake up in the morning. Anyone who follows my work and supports my site is a Benjaminion. My Benjaminions are the most proud fans in the world and I love them.
SM – You are studying Business I believe; in what ways do you think this will help you achieve your goals?
BG – Yes. I’m a business/marketing major. I currently apply my education towards the growth of my LLC. I’m constructing a very professional business plan right now which will be great to present to potential investors. If I can gain enough recourses, I will take my team and I to interesting locations such as Europe, the Caribbean, Brazil, and other places and produce amazing videos.
SM – You mention philanthropy in your interests. Would you like to expand on this a little?
BG – I manage a skateboard for kids charity where I allocate portions of my sales to helping children attain their first skateboard. I believe that too many American kids waste their lives in front of the TV and skating is a great way for them to tap into their physical ability.
SM – Now a few fun personal questions if I may? Do you think you are a good date?
BG – The best! But I’m expensive.
SM – What do you like wearing when you are not working as a model?
BG – I always wear Zara. I usually wear 100% black clothes because I’m a hipster at heart.
SM – What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
BG – Ummmm … legally crazy? I jumped off a 50ft cliff into water once and I HATE heights.
SM – Are you a brief man or a boxer kinda guy?
BG – Briefs baby
SM – What do you listen to on your iPod?
BG – I love Skrillex, Nero, Memphis May Fire, We Came As Romans, Wiz Kahlifa, Lil Wayne, Drake, Casino Madrid, Kreashawn.
SM – One last question Ben, where do you see yourself and what would you like to be doing in 10 years time?
BG – In Ten Years Time I will be running a full-on production company which produces sexy videos! Also I want to own and operate a talent agency. Godfre Models.
